"Blogging well depends on being able to slice a cross-section down through your own consciousness at an artful slant..."

"... that encompasses a bit of the outside world, an intermediate zone of opinion and observation where you meet and mix with the world, and a glimpse of your own inner life." How aptly put, by Amba, who feels she's lost her slant. (I like putting slant in italics.)

A bold assertion, that...

Bold? Perhaps. Or perhaps an emphatic angle?

Moderate. Or duct tape.

I squelched that dave-dropping but only because Annie wanted me to. Dave actually amuses me half the time. I don't like the swear words on the blog, mainly because I'm trying to think of the effect on other people, but for just me alone, I think he's funny -- the court jester. If my blogging as performance art included sock puppets, I'd have one that would pretty much be dave!

A blogging well sounds like the hole in the ground where you dip your bucket to fill it with clear refreshing opinions, observations and information. Drink deeply and get it all over the front of your shirt. (Wet t-shirt blogging!) A certain mindset views any hole in the ground as a potential outhouse, of course. Gotta watch out for that type.
