He should have gone to the Boy Scout Jamboree. But he is worried about the woman vote.

This is what we get for passing the nineteenth amendment.

This is a story about a society being murdered and committing suicide at the same time.

Watching that, I feel like I just fell down the rabbit hole. Wake me in 2012, please.

Nauseating.

But I'm now very curious about "The View"s audience. Is the show politically out of sync with their audience?

Or is their audience primarily unmarried women.

And when do we get over the "my gay guy best friend" schtick?

mesquito said...

I made pretty good progress, over the years, re-evaluting and reforming some of my more sexist tendencies.

Then came "The View."

He is fighting for the votes of white women. He already has 99+% of the votes of black women.

WV: froli - froli care, he can go away.

Elizabeth has always been lousy as the one conservative voice on that show. I suspect they put her on because she's so incapable of arguing her side effectively. She always comes across as just another airhead, instead of the only sensible one.

She's like Sean Hannity: you might agree with them, but they always, always manage to ignore all the intelligent arguments for their viewpoint, and instead run with the most idiotic ones.

"I don't want you on my side!" my brain screams.

knox said...

One time Victor Davis Hanson referred to Sean Hannity as a "banty rooster," which totally cracked me up.

Sprezzatura said...

I watched (actually, I listened to it in the background) this entire thing yesterday.

BHO did well. The only time I was surprised was when he credited some of the motivations for racism (specifically including black against white racism) to people's reptilian brains resulting in a bias against people different than ourselves.

He didn't mention it, but the professional conservatives would have a lot less to talk about if they couldn't cater to our so-called reptilian brains as they emphasize their victimization at the hands of the Other (e.g. not real America or commie/Marxist/"halfrican""magic negro"BHO).

traditionalguy said...

Barack the knife is back in town, and he is using his million dollar smile on these helpless females. They just love that so much! He hates them of course since they are typical white women like his renegade mother.

I've got a Fevah! And the only prescription... is LESS Obama!

Paco Wové said...

He didn't mention it,...

Jeez. It's so frustrating that Obama is so noble in the face of all those awful conservatives, isn't it?

White suburban matrons are the key to the Left's continued lock on power and they're going going gone you lefty bastards. It was fun voting for our potemkin prez and feeling good about themselves for doing so but now the mask's off and he's UGLY. Plus it gets a little tired being labeled racisss and being assaulted in the pocketbook. Of course being above all else respectable they won't voice their disgust. But they will vote it. Tidal wave come November.

More empty hyper-focus on nothing.

Delivered with a high pitched intensity that goes beyond hangover to suggest they may have been slipped a roofie.

The women have made the best comments here. "Roofie" good one!

If there was a tiger in the bathroom and a baby in the closet it might be cool.

Kathleen,

"You men are right; some women do deserve to be slapped."

I told them - I'm always telling them - and thank you. And I promise it'll never happen unless it's called for.

It's more than a hangover, It's a Constitutional Crisis. The Usurper (Obama Sr. was a subject of Britain, not the US, thus Obama 2could definitely not be a Natural Born Citizen. Natural Born Citizens must have singular allegiance at birth, Obama 2 (even if born in the Whitehouse) had dual allegiance with Britain (at best), thus even according to Ted Olsen and Laurence Tribe, he was not born WITHIN the nation's allegiance. If singular simple birth within the territory was all that is needed, then they wouldn't have to say "Born Within a Nation's Territory and Allegiance." (TERRITORY and ALLEGINCE are the 2 requirements). Allegiance for the child is only to it's parents, and then the Parent's Nations.
Obama is violating Aricle 2 Section 1 Clause 4,5.
This is the issue that will bring him down, in due time....

Unknown said...

ha ha ! its hilarious that Elizabeth starts singing the 'I've got a crush on Obama song' !

whenever she starts pretending to go conservative crazy on him, they need to play that clip.

Yeesh. That's just unwatchable.

So the "conservative" one gushes more than the other harpies!?!

Heaven help us.

Dust Bunny Queen said...

@ Freeman.

Agreed. Could they be any more inane, worthless and embarassing?

Scott said...

@Kensington: Conservatives can see people as human beings. The leftish see them as cartoons.

So I think it would be easier for a conservative to have a sleepover at the Obama household than it would be for a leftish person to hang out with George W. Bush's family.

The contents of the bottle were clearly marked as poisonous. There was a Jeremiah Wright skull and crossbones, and a green "yuk" face with a distinct resemblence to Bill Ayers.

If you drank from that bottle you have no one to blame but yourself for your present hangover.

The cure for an Obama hangover is clearly to support the Stupidity Movement.

That is one view I'm glad I don't have to witness. Thank god for crossed legs. Except maybe Elizabeth. Shes not the sharpest tool in the shed but she's not bad looking (considering the company she keeps). The others are as ugly as the witches in macbeth. "Double, double, toil and trouble"...

Sprezzatura said...

Cedarford,

HuffPo had that yesterday. They had a headline about his "mandals."

Kirby Olson said...

If it was so pleasant why does she call it a hangover?

She might as well have said, "He left us with a low-grade disease!"

Do we have the big O's medical records yet?

I feel my IQ dropping if I try to watch The View for more than 1 minute. So, in my life, I've watched perhaps 10 minutes of The View on TV. I've seen clips like this, but normally can't get through those, either.

It's just embarrassing to be a woman, and have people believe these mental midgets speak for me. Hasselbeck was on Hannity and said their audience was "intelligent". She really said that.

Jane said...

Do women really watch this?

Wow. I'm out of touch. So out of touch.

I'm 39, a mother of three, and I would consider watching The View as a form of mental torture. But I never liked 'Soaps' either. Hopefully the demographic they're pandering to are more sucked into "Farmville" nowadays . . . otherwise my head will explode.

Fen said...

Ya know LoneWacko, you've been coming here for months pretending to be anti-Obama and then bashing the Tea Party at every opportunity.

When are you just going to admit you are just a Concern Troll?

Little Towhee said...

I'm a white suburbanite conservative woman, and I already thought Elisabeth Hasselback lost her dignity by staying on that show. . . Which by the way, that clip was the most I've seen of that show since I spent some weeks hospitalized on bedrest with no access to cable a few years ago. That show is an insult to the intelligence and capabilities of the American woman.

Elisabeth Hasselback proves herself a shabby little doormat here. She is either insincere (and makes Christians look worse) or she doesn't have a spine. Not good, sweetie.

Women like myself have no voice on TV talk shows. Elisabeth doesn't speak for conservative women at all.

I remember my Mom watching "Girl Talk" in the 70s with Virginia Grahame and turning it off, remarking how "Stupid" it was. Damn "Girl Talk" seems like High Culture compared to the "View".

rcocean said...

TIME on "Girltalk" 1968:

Cocktail Tapings. Now syndicated five half-hours a week in 83 cities, Girl Talk draws an average audience of 2,000,000, ranging from a Hollywood scriptwriter who listens for the flavor of women's dialogue, to, on at least one occasion, Lyndon Johnson. Most of the viewers, though, are women and of an age that leads Virginia to privately retitle her program "The Menopausal Romper Room."

Girl Talk is telecast in most areas during the day but is taped at the cocktail hour "because," says Virginia, "women talk better then. The later the show, the more the barriers are down." And the dudgeons up. Once Actress Natalie Schafer greeted Columnist Sheilah Graham (no kin to Virginia) with: "Oh, I'm so glad to meet you. You were the cause of my divorce." Sheilah was also clawed by Zsa Zsa Gabor, who suggested that the columnist was too old to write about love.

A behind the scenes tour of the White House and Elizabeth is all aglow. My kids will be soooo impressed!

BTW, why is it that women so love to have a gay mans POV?

Imagine a guy show with the lone female being a raging bull~dyke...wouldn't that raise some eyebrows?
