"Let me give you a quote that he said just four years ago: ‘If you don’t have any fresh ideas, use stale tactics to scare people'..."

"... If you don’t have a record to run on, paint your opponent as someone people should run from. Make a big election about small things... That’s what Barack Obama said when he was running for president in 2008. That’s exactly what Barack Obama has become now that he is president in 2012, and we’re going to change it."

Said Paul Ryan, last night, in Daytona Beach, Florida. I think that's a bit unfair. What about Big Bird? Big Bird isn't little. It goes without saying: Big Bird is big.

Hey, remember that great old Neil Young song about Big Bird?
Blue, blue windows behind the stars, yellow moon on the rise
Big Bird flying across the sky, throwing shadows on our eyes
Leave us helpless, helpless, helpless
The chains are locked and tied across the door... put y'all back in chains....

The NY Times has become virtually a conduit of the Obama admin.

So, the word went out this week that Obama is losing the female vote.

The NY Times, on cue, published the predictable War on Women editorial. It's almost like they put in a call to the White House and asked them what they'd like to say.

Succeeding Big Bird and women in binders, the latest stupid Team Axelrod ploy is the "Romnesia" talking point they trottled Urkle to read off his TelePrompter.

As if the current amnesia problem is with Romney, rather than the guy with total amnesia about what he did during the 6 hour attack on Benghazi and the two weeks after that.

There are 3 timelines to Benghazi that will be investigated - the Obamites hopefully wish, all well after the election.
But given the election does weigh on the competency and integrity of the Chief Executive and Commander in Chief....it is not a "Rush to Judgement" to discuss them now rather than wait on Hillary and Eric Holder being "ready to discuss" matters.

Timeline One - Events regarding security, past Benghazi attacks, the terror training camps set up by AQ and affiliates to do organized assaults on Ghadaffi forces and later Western interests.

Timeline Two - The events of the 6 hour attack, apparantly heard and seen in realtime in DC. Not just what happened there, but with troops in Sicily and Naval and AF assets ready to go in within an hour to reinforce the Americans fighting for their lives - why that didn't happen. Is it a case NOBODY took the 3AM phone call and the military waited without orders? If Obama was indisposed, who else could have taken the 3AM call? Or did he take the call and order reinforcements to stand down?
(To note -within 40 minutes of the 1st 9/11 Terror attack, Dick CHeney stepped up and ordered the air transport system of America grounded, fighter jets to intercept and shoot down planes full of Americans controlled by Islamoids, CAP over US cities, and dispatched 4 US Navy Battle groups)

Timeline Three Events following the death of the Ambassador. Also known as "the coverup".

C4 - further making the whole timeline issue remarkable is the geo-chronological fact that it WASN'T 3:00 AM - it was roughly the dinner hour in Foggy Bottom.

If you'd like a good example of how the MSM creates, often by omission, a discourse that favors Obama take a listen to the 10/19/2012 NPR Morning Edition report on third party candidates (here).

Ever heard of Virgil Goode, who may take votes from Romney, and who's on the ballot in, what, 8 states?

But absolutely no mention of Jill Stein and the Green Party, who is on the ballot in all 50 states! No mention of of the large number of harder lefties who are pissed off with Obama for failing to keep many of his campaign promises to them (e.g. closing Gitmo, single payer Obamacare) who may actually have someone other than Obama to vote for as an act of protest.

Don't want to give any NPR listeners any ideas, do we?

--Mr. Obama has also called for limiting tax deductions for high-income filers. His budgets have endorsed allowing them to take writeoffs at a rate of 28% instead of 35%. The big difference is that Mr. Romney wants to dedicate the revenue gain from capping deductions to cutting tax rates. Mr. Obama wants to use the money to pay for more spending-

I'm really liking the overview, but the devil's in the details. Do we have to pass it to find out what's in it?

=============
The 3AM phone call was part metaphorical. It was really 24 hours of "attack event" duration, then when all hostilities ended - then into the attack aftermath.

It is still unknown what the Pentagon knew, the NSC, Obama, top State people.

In a bit of fairness to Obama, the Consulate attack was unfortunately happening simultaneously with attacks on 11 embassies and US interests that WERE tied to the Copt scumbag con artist that said he wanted to incite Muslim violence against Americans to bring attention to the Copt plight.

The radical Islamists apparantly got the video and distributed it to various radical Muslim groups to help prime 9/11 "festivities".

I would not be surprised if the defamation of the Prophet tape was also employed as a psychological motivator in the Banghazi attack to help whip up the rank and file - so they would take risks and become as bloodthirsty as possible.

We did the same thing with US Marines before they invaded places like Iwo Jima and Okinawa. Showed them footage and pictures of the Bataan Death March the Japs stupidly had allowed to be promugated. To help whip up the Marines willingness to take Jap lives in anger. (It works well).

With a little over 2 weeks to go, conservatives need to look at the whole timeline and not focus on how they need to play 1st Amendment advocates to the scumbag Nakoula or "security experts" dissecting security weaknesses that if corrected - would have mattered in 20=20 hindsight. It happened. The problem right now is dealing with the aftermath - in Libya and in DC.

It seems to me the most plausible formulation is that the attacks were planned, and the video was only used as a recruiting tool to get more people there for cover and support. It was 9/11 and the video was around for a while, waiting to be used. I'm not sure if the attackers would prefer it be attributed to the video or not. They may want credit for themselves, or they may want it to look like a popular uprising.

Via Insty:

WHEN HISTORY RHYMES PART I: Report: Unmanned Drone Observed Benghazi Terror Attack, Did Nothing: “They stood and they watched and our people died:”

CBS News has been told that, hours after the attack began, an unmanned Predator drone was sent over the U.S. mission in Benghazi, and that the drone and other reconnaissance aircraft apparently observed the final hours of the protracted battle.

The State Department, White House and Pentagon declined to say what military options were available. A White House official told CBS News that, at the start of the attack, Chairman of the Joint Chiefs Martin Dempsey and Defense Secretary Leon Panetta “looked at available options, and the ones we exercised had our military forces arrive in less than 24 hours, well ahead of timelines laid out in established policies.”

But it was too late to help the Americans in Benghazi. The ambassador and three others were dead.

----------------

IF this is leaking to CBS - Stick a fork in Barry - IMHO

This might come out the wrong way & I don't want it to........

I'm tearing up, God bless our fallen.

This NEVER should have happened. Barry went back to sleep.

It is still unknown what the Pentagon knew,...

That is a bug, not a feature. The "information" on the tactical situation was there...nearly instantly. Anyone in duty officer status, or even staff duty NCO status, knew about it and knew who to notify immediately. Notifications were sent out, immediately, to major command and staff officers. On that part, I'd bet my life. What happened from there on...not so much.

So it is not what they knew, but what they thought and did or did not do about it.

As for the men and women in the Consulate, any of them who had combat or near combat experience in Iraq or Afghaniland, knew what was happening from moment one. And you can bet your butt they told someone, a lot of someones, immediately. You know that a GS-5 clerk, who might be an ex-PFC, can call or message anywhere in the world from anywhere in the world?

Unless the class A DSN lines were cut immediately, the notifications would have gone out in less than one minute. Hell, 40+ years ago we could send a "Broken Arrow" call out on a old PRC-25 radio with a good chance of being heard, relayed, and given help quickly.

I'm over simplifying, actually...because in Libya we don't have any such a net to come up on. Why is that?

So here we are today, in 2012, and weeks later we're still debating the situation and the response or failure in response? No knows squat.

Somebody knows, a lot of people know exactly what went down. They're not talking.

Ann, I'm curious about something. Who do you think/believe/feel has run the cleaner, more honest campaign?

BaltoHvar said...

Aridog - that's what I believe regarding the real time data/video/messages. I do not believe that the video was ONLY being watched by some Mall Cop on a couple CRT's over a CCTV network.

In that regard, is it possible that Sos Clinton(s) was thinking "...Somalia...?" That had we reacted immediately, then an escalation into an unmanageable confrontation would have happened? I said before, we had to have a force ready for rescue from a Country we helped bomb into chaos waiting off-shore. The Med. Sea is OURS; it is our backyard!

And C4 - you are right as well. The smoke being laid down by the Administration only makes one believe there is a fire.

I am just hopeful that it isn't Biden who'll tell us "...our National nightmare is over..."
