"They told me if I voted Republican, crazed religious fanatics led by talk-radio hosts would be claiming a political mandate from God."

"And they were right."

Somehow I get the feeling that God is not a progressive.
Judging from the article there is more than a whiff of desperation. I guess the fear factor of losing part of the gravy train and racial-political spoils system is kicking in to effect.

"God is not going to allow this man to fail, because of people like you,"

Of course there is a non zero quantity of socially conservative African American voters who are not particularly happy with Obama.

If God were a progressive, he/she would change the laws of physics every ten minutes.

The real well-source of "crazed religious fanatics" is Islam, where the teachings of that criminal-terrorist ideology require such.

MECCA DELENDA EST!

Prollem is, black clergy are very seriously divided this time, many telling their flocks to stay home.

Then there's the fact Barry has spent his time in OH shoring up the base in Cleveland and Akron.

I posted that quote on my Facebook page. I didn't say who it was for, or provide a link. 20 to 1 most people that respond will say it's about Romney, and how horrible it is to mix religion and politics.... At least, that is the kind, presentable translation because I'm sure what is actually written will more than likely be quite vile.

Oh, the link doesn't take you to the reference story. It just links to Instas main page.

G-d isn't pro-choice, nor, last time I checked the Mosaic books, did He embrace same-sex marriage.

More to the point, the number of socially conservative African Americans who will actually switch their vote or stay home because of this dissatisfaction is vanishingly small.

The little g tribal gods are once more not showing up for another Mount Carmel showdown with the God of Abraham Isaac and Jacob. That God has noticed what Barry and his Muslim friends in Iran have planned for the State of Israel.

Now, now, we all know that blacks (the silly children) are allowed this. After all, religion is one of those charming quirks they have, bless their hearts. If it makes them feel better to invoke their fantasy sky daddy in order to return Obama to office, what's the problem?

I think we can safely assume Christopher in MA's vote is safely in the Romney camp.

Quite right, dear. Not that it will matter in this hellhole of a state. But I post more in a spirit of compare and contrast.

Imagine a Glenn Beck or a Mark Levin, say, exhorting people to vote for Romney by shouting "God is not going to let this man fail, because of people like you!" It would, at best, be regarded as boob-bait for the bubbas and knuckleheads (in the Mooch's felicitous phrasing) or, at worst, cause for angst among the chattering classes of the left, wringing their hands at this evil collusion of church and state.

But when black preachers use their pulpits to encourage their congregations to vote Democrat? Or when Democrat politicians pander to those same congregations by showing up and drawling that they ain't no ways tired? Move along, nothing to see.

It's just the double standard that amuses me. Or the soft bigotry of low expectations, if you will.

Actually, I think our current administration is a rebuke against the believers in the US for our apostacy. So I certainly do believe that Obama was God's chosen president for America.

I currently think that God's children have repented and turned their hearts back to God in obedience, and he will deliver us and soften his face toward us. So then Mitt will be ordained of God.

Really.

Ann -

You might want to fix your link to zero in on the article in question.

http://pjmedia.com/instapundit/154256/

Your Instapundit link hits Oct 16 posts but the correct article does not appear on the first screenshot of the link.

"God is not going to allow this man to fail, because of people like you," radio host Yolanda Adams told the volunteers who had gathered to make calls and knock on doors ... for Obama.

So God needs the help of the ungodly?

On the same note -

I think so too, but, unlike you, I'm not sure God is satisfied sufficiently to keep him from another term. If it's a blowout for Romney and Tea Party candidates it is likely the rebuke is over - temporarily.
