"Wisconsin, the land of persuadable voters."

A WaPo article.

AND: And The Weekly Standard shows "a new ad airing across Wisconsin television stars three local women who voted for Barack Obama in 2008 but who will be switching to Mitt Romney and Paul Ryan (a Wisconsin native) this year."
"Paul Ryan embodies the work ethic of Wisconsin," says Connie of Green Bay.

I will make a bet. Women voters will vote for POTUS Obama no matter what. It is reverse of Bradley effect. I know that. How? I have a SO GF. She will vote for Obama (as GOP is considered by NYT as an anti-woman party). Her janitor said that she too will vote for Obama, even though her job is harder these days. My GF's secretary said that she too will vote for Obama.

SO, No woman I know (via my GF) will vote for anyone but Obama.

You cannot win. This election is over. You know that I know what is going to happen tomorrow. I am paid to inform so that you do not have to take time for any decision-makimg. I learned this at the NYT as an intern.

You hear everybody talk about OH. If PA, WI, and even MI are in play, OH isn't that necessary.

Now the electoral math starts working against Zero.

I heard somewhere the Romster even moved up 8 points in CA.

The current administration has declared war on the commuter lifestyle, and Sacramento looks incorrigible. People are expected to surrender even more in taxes, and to move to higher density housing awaiting the next big earthquake.

If they tell us, it must be so. Why would they lie to us?

Why, just because!

These kind of people make me question my support for Romney. I have to rethink it, and assure myself that it's actually based on something. If I ever say somebody suddenly "lost me", then just shoot me on sight, please.

I live in the MD suburbs of DC -- as blue as blue gets. In my extended neighborhood, I can count the Obama yard signs on one hand and there is ONE for the SSM proposition in front of a house that has had a pro-SSM sign for years. In 2008, there were Obama signs EVERYWHERE!

I have no doubt that most of my neighbors will, without enthusiasm and out of dislike for the Repubs, pull the switch for Obama. But, already in my 'hood, I've spoken with a few defectors.

Will Obama win MD? Oh, surely. But the pundits will be amazed at how well Romney did! In 2008 it went 62 to 36 for Obama. This time, it'll 44% for Romney. Wait & see.

YoungHegelian: Most GOP are weak in math. They are afraid of math.

Let me explain, please read slowly:

- All African Americans will vote for Obama.
- All women (who are really women) will vote for Obama.
- All Hispanics (except losers) will vote for Obama.
- All Asians have already voted for Obama.
- All international (dual citizens) will vote for Obama.
- All press will vote for Obama.
- All academica wil vote for Obama.
- All artists (musicians, actors, etc.) will vote for Obama.
- ETC

Who is left for Romney? Janitors?

I saw a great sign on a pickup truck today. It said NOPE with the O the Obama symbol. The Jerry Brown tax bill might just push enough votes to Romney to make it close in CA. This election is slowly shifting to Reagan landslide territory.

AP,

If you'd ever take Obama's cock out of your mouth and walk around my neighborhood, you might discover how the math works.

MD did elect a Republican governor not too long ago, did we not? So miracles are been known to happen.

Love Connie from Green Bay's accent in that ad!

Maybe I'm paranoid, and maybe it's because I only read the first page of the linked-to article (I WILL NOT CLICK multi-page articles) but it seems like the article is casting stones at those who aren't down the line party voters every time. I say people who are down the line party voters every time just don't want to think.

Dream on. O will win it or steal it, but he will have that 2nd term.

People who split their ticket also can be guilty of not thinking.

One of my brothers makes a big deal of splitting his ticket, basically because he likes the idea of gridlock. It's an automatic thing with him - if Obama is ahead in the polls on election day, he'll vote for Thompson. If the reverse is true, he'll vote for Baldwin.

I've sometimes split my ticket in the past, but I won't this year. If we're going to put the brakes on spending, Romney and a Dem Congress won't work. (That's not to say that Romney and a GOP Congress will necessarily do the trick either. I know very well how much pols of both parties enjoy spending our money.)

The GOP is very far from perfect, but the Democrat party as presently constituted represents none of my values.

You have us confused with Chicago.

Remember, the majority of us voted for Walker - twice.

Today I noticed the fourth Obama 2012 bumper sticker that I have seen this election here in the Philadelphia suburbs, where the election in this Commonwealth will be decided. Lawn signs are few and far between. Both were ubiquitous in 2008. I've said it before, there is no enthusiasm here for Obama.

I'm thinking of posting signs around the area that say, "It's okay. Your friends and neighbors will secretly vote for Romney too."

Er, garage, have you seen this?

As the presidential campaign heads into its final weeks, the survey of voters in 12 crucial swing states finds female voters much more engaged in the election and increasingly concerned about the deficit and debt issues that favor Romney. The Republican nominee now ties the president among women who are likely voters, 48%-48%, while he leads by 12 points among men…

Now, the USA TODAY/Gallup Poll shows Romney leading Obama 51%-46% among likely voters in the swing states. Men who are likely voters back him 54%-42%. The states are Colorado, Florida, Iowa, Michigan, Nevada, New Hampshire, New Mexico, North Carolina, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Virginia and Wisconsin…

Quite frankly, I don't know who will win. But I've noticed you doing a lot of crowing on these threads. I would have thought you had learned something about the premature celebration from the Walker recall, but apparently not.

I have seen very few yard signs at all this election in Philly burbs.

I noted the same in your neck of the woods last week when I was there for a wedding.

I have a feeling/theory that the use of yard signs is becoming a passe campaign tool. Perhaps our resident expert, Ameerica's Policico can shed some light on my theory.

Of course he's crowing. He's filling out absentee ballot forms as we speak. Yhis isn't going to be like the recall petition,(there are just so many ways you can diguise your handwriting),It's much easier to overwhelm the system with absentee ballots.
