A boy, a hot dog, and a handful of ketchup.

What's a boy to do?

That's from last night's Milwaukee Brewers game. Watch the whole thing. It's one of the best kid-in-the-stands-who-doesn't-know-he's-on-TV sequences ever — with an adorable kid and great baseball announcers making it even better.

Also from last night... watch 3 runs come in on a single wild pitch.

9 to 2!

Yeah....they were delighted to find this kid in the crowd!!

I love the comic timing: How long the kid looks at the ketchup on his hand before he decides to lick it. And I love how the announcers do the play-by-play.

Notice the announcers dutifully mentioned his sister would need to receive reparations.

I was at that game last night sitting two rows behind that family, directly behind the guys with the yellow Brewers beer holders you can see in the shot. I don't really care for the Rockies, so it was a fun game to go to, especially that wild pitch play. It was ridiculous.

The old crotchety lady next to that family was not having fun though. She wasn't very pleasant. I'm not sure what you expect when you buy season tickets behind the opposing dugout, but she didn't appreciate any of the Brewers fans, who were very well behaved by the way.

Is ketchup on a baseball a foreign substance?

Not if I'm the commissioner.

EDH,

"Notice the announcers dutifully mentioned his sister would need to receive reparations."

Understanding the annoyance whites feel - as they make it known over and over again - makes me so proud.

Not as proud as beating them is going to feel, but it's pretty fun to watch them squirm until. My forefathers rarely saw it. That's PROGRESS.

Whites have shown so little respect for anyone else. Truly - if they all died - can you imagine anything but cheers? We'd lament individuals, but overall? It would be a party unlike anything the world has ever seen.

Deny it - as you deny everything else.

And then hate me - as whites hate the truth,...

Good way to fill the interminable dead time in a baseball game.

Are you talking about Obama?

Waiting it out, but when Mom and Dad leave him on his own he figures it out, much like Nanny State and newly free boy.

Then the Rockies pitcher pouts about a bad throw from the catcher while real life takes advantage of him. Baseball is Life lessons.

Soccer is organized frustration interrupted only by guys faking injuries.

That play was straight out of the New York Mets 1962 playbook. (In 1969 it was still in the playbook but the Mets would have been the team at bat.) The pitcher deserved an error, too -- a standing-there-looking-confused error -- for letting the third run score.

The game was in Colorado, wasn't it?

I am hostile to the notion the notion that you are mentioning baseball while the World Cup is still ongoing :)

Hee...if whites all died, you'd find out real quick what Asians think of you. Wouldn't be much of a party for you then....

Yeah...wishing death on a group of people based on the color of their skin..that's not racist.

Althouse: Would you tolerate the reverse? would you be fine with someone thread jacking virtually every post to say hateful things about Black people and to wish that every Black person would die?

they would be a party like its 1994 (Rwanda)

Oh, I don't know. I remember watching the L. A. riots on CNN. I imagine it would be like that, but with a larger selection of stuff to loot.

What does Crack's comment have to do with anything?

Crack Emcee is a good and talented man.

But Crack may never forgive the mean people of his youth. So he is venting. But I bet those mean people were not white people, unless the French count.

I have many educated black friends, and they like living with the white people, because as mean as we sometimes seem to be, we do not destroy the community and the schools. Being trapped in a black ghetto is hated by black people...and maybe that was our fault until 30 years ago and we need to do more.

Dave, Soccer's a commie sport. Baseball....is America.

I gotta believe it was still in the Mets playbook in 1973.

Ann, thanks for that. Big smiles.

Crank is one sour son of a bitch. I'd be sour, too, I guess, if my ancestors were the enslaved, rather than the enslavers. I'd never shut up in an effort to hide my own insecurities and doubts.

I was at Wrigley Field once and saw two runs score on a called 3rd strike.

Passed ball, pitcher didn't come to the plate, then when he did the throw was wild.

Nah. They'd be too busy turning to slaughtering each other. See, oh, what seems like half the countries in Africa at one time or another. Not to mention the very special relationships among the Chinese, Koreans and Japanese, a lot of Southeast Asia, etc.

For that matter, about 1/4 of the neighborhoods of the City of Chicago.
