"At age 48, Frank [Fiorina] decided to retire to (gasp!) to support his wife's career as well as take care of his two daughters..."

"'...something that even her own father didn't quite understand at first."
"As [my father] got older and realized how important a role Frank played in my success — and my happiness, beyond that — he came to really appreciate him,' [Carly Fiorina] said.

Frank has donned several different hats while running his wife's team. While she was CEO of Hewlett-Packard and later when she ran for the U.S. Senate in 2010, Frank would sometimes serve as her personal bodyguard. According to the San Francisco Chronicle, Frank received a permit to carry a concealed weapon in 2000.
More in this WaPo article from last May, a time Carly Fiorina "hardly registers in national polls." The reporter follows Frank around as he pushes a shopping cart through the aisles of Costco for 45 minutes and buys "[b]ottled water, toilet paper, paper towels, cashews, Goldfish and a toothbrush."

Key tag: single-earner household.

Did she work after HP?

Single earner household? She made off with a golden parachute (100 million?) at HP.

The unsaid question to this is who would be the better First Husband, Frank Fiorina or Bill Clinton?

I am Laslo.

20 million. Quite modest in those circles. Cf. Home Depot honcho deprting with half a billion, etc.

Sounds like Frank, hands down....

The Fiorinas are the perfect feminist family !

LOL

Living the feminist dream.

The correct term is First Gentleman.

When Nebraska elected a female governor that was what was used.

He also published a cookbook.

He needs to spend some time in the gymn. The suit looks dowdy and wrinkly. The haircut is a little frazzled, and he might want to think about having it colored. He lacks glamour, especially when you compare him to someone like Michelle.

Cases where the "single earner" makes 10 times what even well off dual earners make combined don't advance the cause of specialization. At that level of first income the second income becomes irrelevant. There's no sacrifice to weigh.

I'm impressed he got a CCW and acted as her bodyguard. How sweet. I notice Bill tries to stay about 1500 miles from Hillary!'s campaign. And her paid protection detail hates her, of course.

Oh, great. Now we're back to the quality versus quantity argument.

Puns intended?

If Frank becomes First Gentleman, his cause should be getting drivers to stay to the right unless they're passing another vehicle.

Well, why not? As was pointed out above, this is the feminist dream, which is probably why she is so hated by the left. Hillary, who got where she is by clinging to her husband's coat tails, stood by her man in public after he was caught by Monica's blue dress. In her real life, Clinton is the furthest thing from a feminist, except for her support for 9th month abortions and fetal organ harvesting. So, they have to hate on the Fiorinas, else they would have to face their hypocrisy.

He sounds fair-minded. Ideally, the mother raises their children, then the father supports his wife's ambitions, and they work together throughout. Teamwork.

Well, that explains that, then. In her memoir the girls show up only sporadically, leaving me to wonder who was caring for them if both Carly and Frank were working the long hours. But if Frank was working, well, no hours, it solves that mystery.

I guess I'm not surprised. After all, they were his daughters. It kind of seems like a no brainer.

But Fiorina is not a real feminist.

A real feminist basks in her husband's glory and power, overlooks his philandering and raping of underlings, labels his victims trailer trash, and his opponents right-wing conspirators.

Close. Upon deep, deep reflection in Bobby Dylan's "Times they are a changing" the idea is I'm a great artist and I know time changes, like Al Gore knows the climate has never been the "same" and the whole idea is ideatic* save personal gain through the professional brand dumb enough to let you represent them.

Therefore I will speak, telling truths you otherwise have such a black cloud of ignorance where your brain should be you wouldn't understand even in the slightest, where I not to show pictures.

The question of interest to those interesting: Is Bosch none other than the Buckley praised (along with judgements of charactor) Hefnor?

Why else would the Coen men who are siblings make a movie with Bunny?
