CAPTION:

"Retaining the full vigor of their American origins, and inspired by the history of their new homeland, Germanized Raccoons bent on Global Domination commence with the creation of the new master race."

Be afraid. Be very afraid.

Well, on one hand it does appear that the unwitting fur farmer of 1934 made a huge assist to the world domination plans of the raccoon.

On the other hand, who knew that the US engaged in biological warfare against the Nazis back in 1934?

As to the raccoon coat: In Europe? Where PETA reins? A human wearer would be in grave danger! Yet the fur, in season and prime, still sells for around $30 to the trapper.

Next time perhaps they'll think twice before invading Poland.

"and with hunters increasingly called away by World War II"

Yes, German hunters wound up being more intrigued by the rousting of Slothful Frenchmen from their Maginot lairs, or the ever-popular Ring-Tailed Russki.

That things didn't work out so well... somedays the Russian bear eats you!

If you listen very carefully at night you can hear the racoons sing the Horst Wessel song... no, really, you can...

Hey, the British tried to put estrogen in Hitler's vegetable garden! But did we really need Hitler...with mood swings?

If you have sophisticated tastes as regards racoons, (whatever that means!) does this make you a 'racoonteur?'
