"I can’t screw up Alabama."

Charles Barkley thinks public opinion polls are 100% meaningless. A governor who rejects public opinion sounds like a governor who could screw up a state.

That link doesn't work at the moment.

Barkley has always had weight problems. I imagine that time spent on the rubber chicken circuit will transform him into a modern day Taft, but I think he can play to that image.

Tubby Taft. Excellent.

I wonder if the girl he spat on will make a commercial for him?

I was thinking more like Big Daddy Barkley.

I was thinking Sir Charles would likely be spat on during his run. But who knows.

Charles said that the poor have been voting for Democrats for 40 years and they are still poor. I appreciate that flash of insight!

I'd vote for Barkley simply because he was just about the only high-profile black man in America who responded to OJ Simpson's acquittal by saying he thought OJ was guilty as hell.

Some other great Barkley quotes are here. The line about Alabama being 48th and "Arkansas and Mississippi aren't going anywhere" is priceless, too.

Those quotes are great. Thanks for the link.

Wow, he will not screw up Alabama. Those were such eloquent words. And the liberal illuminati don't value the public and their opinion? Then who are you running for?

Chuck's too fat to run to the dinner table, much less run for governor!
