"Kentucky!!!!!! WTF????????"

We're just hanging here waiting for room service and watching basketball and the sun setting over the Flatirons and I'm reading the "Kentucky" Twitter feed out loud and laughing. I don't much care about basketball, but the raw emotion in the Twitter feed cracks me up, and you know West Virginia is my team:

UPDATE: Pasta, salmon, salad consumed. Kentucky spent.

I've got WV advancing, so I'm ok, but then eventually losing to Kansas. Oh well...I've got to be near the bottom of my pool anyway.

While I live in Ohio, I'm only 1/4 mile from Maysville, KY where Kentucky starter Darius Miller played his high school ball. I played high school ball. My sister played D1 college ball (UAB). I feel like I know the game pretty well. But, everyone in Kentucky knows more about basketball than anyone from anywhere else. Period.

I will give you this, Madame. At least you're willing to watch your husband's interests on TV when on the road. When we go someplace, I get a steady diet of "Bones" and "Charmed". (I assume roundball is more Meade's thing than yours)

Fortunately, The Blonde does like the occasional action flick, so I do luck out sometimes, but I tip my hat to you. You are as gracious a helpmeet as you are a decorous one.

Meade - loved the Butler game. Can't wait to see how my alma mater, Tennessee, does tomorrow.

Hotel room? Did you bag the Searchlight trip to stay in Colorado?

My guess Senator Reid would have found out you had been there, said to his aids, if I have lost Althouse I have lost Nevada, and pulled a "Dodd".

Yeah, tell me about it. They didn't even look like Kentucky tonight. Almost no 3s--Gee. Wall and Turner out now. Pardon me while I go cry.

DADvocate, what a great tourney of scrappiness and upsets, huh? I'll be cheering for your Vols and any other underdog overachievers. Got to hand to UK and KY fans though - they are the truest of true believers.

We drove from 2 pm yesterday until 5 am today -- 1000 miles. We need some rest.

TV and room service (and WiFi and a nice bath and nap)... that is my speed right now.

Fred, we decided to enjoy our beloved Colorado and will let the Tea Party tour come to us this time.

Besides, know your limit stay within it, at my advanced age, these long road trips are beginning to wear me down a bit and room service, NCAA, and an early bed became irresistible. I know, I know - fair weather patriot.

Meade, you got that right about UK fans. And I can't believe you're doing two long trips a week apart. I haven't recovered from last week end (behind all week), but I did most of the driving, and have a long work commute. I hope you are explaining all the finer points about the game to your bride--including why Kentuckians' two favorite teams are UK and whoever is playing Duke.

Dadvocate--The bridge is longer than that--or are you counting the low water mark state line?

Don't forget that the weekend before that we went to NYC and spent the whole weekend dodging a hellish nor'easter.

You could be in Stagecoach, Nevada, camped out at the Motel 6, or you could be in Aspen.

Decisions, decisions....

West Virginia?

Why, Professor, you must be an Althouse hillbilly.

(With apologies to the people of West Virginia, who include my brilliant oncologist.)

Suppose Sarah Palin said Pennsylvania (my home state) was Pittsburgh and Philadelphia with Alabama in between? Would the press think it was as funny as when James Carville said it?

Meade - UK fans run true blue, literally.

I've got a soft spot for Bob Huggins since he was run out of Cincinnati. It wouldn't bother me at all if WV won it all.

A change in tournaments... Badgers just won are going back to the Frozen Four.

Tomorrow, it's a cheer for MSU, if I have to...

Meant in the sense of being "Pleasing and wholesome in appearance; attractive", but you are certainly also "Characterized by or exhibiting decorum; proper".

PS Sorry for the late explanation, my AV runs late Saturday night.

Kentucky is a historically dishonest college basketball program. They fire coaches that don't cheat enough and hire coaches with a history of cheating. When the college president fired a coach who cheated the governor fired the president. All their freshmen will move to the NBA where their pay will be slightly better.

Just hope they move them off the porch first or a lot of dogs will die.

WV is the only one of my final four picks to make it.

I didn't tweet--but fb was afire with statii about the game.

I live in a county that borders WV and have friends who live there. We're in a community service/charitable organization together.

We called it the Hillbilly Shootout, the Border War, Hatfield McCoy Feud, etc.

One local establishment divided their facility.

Now, it's a cold and rainy Sunday because God is crying.

Kentucky should change its nick to the Masons cause they were sure layin' some bricks last night.
