Blonde to the bone.

Maybe that's why they shipped me the wrong book in my last order, received Saturday.

I've had some rotten luck with Amazon lately, although I must admit they've pounced on correcting the problems ASAP.

(Who wants to break the news to Ann that she does not share the same demographic as the Blackberry Pearl? By which I mean homosexuals and female tweens.)

I saw my demographics today. It didn't include sexual orientation... but I do have 75% male readers and only 12% are under the age of 34!

I mean 35.

Dang, 75%? That's pretty good! Maybe your readers would prefer Willie Nelson? Or Black Rebel Motorcycle Club? Plus you'd make a higher commission referring to full-priced albums!

Yes, it's time to refocus.

I'd suggest Charlie Daniels and Hank Williams, Jr.

If you feel adventurous, you might try Hank Williams III.

Female, under the age of 35.

I do not Lady Gaga. I downloaded Sarah Jarosz last week for full price.

Hank Williams Sr. is the only Hank Williams that matters.

Seriously!

As an alternative

I'm not buying it. I'm hearing too many people on me Twitter feed complain about the quality of the songs. I think the price is this low for a reason, and it's not the goodness of Gaga's heart.

if this works, its pretty sweet.

i downloaded the album for free. i got a $1 credit, for a recent purchase for mother's day. so i thought, "what good is a $1 credit?" and then this comes along.

Not sure i would have bought it otherwise, but i'll take it for free.

Where have all the good blondes gone? From Rosemary Clooney to Doris Day to Debbie Harry to Madonna to Lady Gaga: the ongoing collapse of western civilization is written in the devolution of our blonde singers. Even our decadence is decadent. Lady Gaga probably does pilates and eats vegan. She's no more a degenerate than Doris Day was a virgin. Debbie Harry was the real deal. She was a drug addict. I bet she danced naked on rooftops and had hot sex with perfect strangers.

Male, but under the age of 35. Don't think it will help you much in this case, though. That link may well be wasted on us.

William: Where have all the good blondes gone?

Sharin Foo, from The Raveonettes is blonde, great, and has one of the best albums this year.

And so is Robyn, who had one of the best albums last year.

When did 35 become a demographics marker? That sorta freaks me out.

1787?

Yuck. Can't stand it.

Incisive comment, William.

I can't get beyond the gag of Lady Gaga.

Call me old, I don't care. Not if the opposite means I have to give a shit about such tripe as her.

I'd rather listen to "You Light Up My Life."

Janine Jansen BWV 1001.

A rarity, a violin played double stopped in tune.

How are the demographics of your readers determined? I thought on the internet no one knew that I'm a dog.

How do you do this demographics thing?

I comment from multiple IP addresses. Although you might have guessed, I'm over 50.

...but I can still...er.... throw punches....err....no....errrr....pee in a straight line?

wow...my comment landed on the wrong thread.

I'll admit it is drunk outside, but I thought I knew where the comments would land!!

It's too bad Amazon wasn't prepared for this as I absolutely love them. I used to watch a lot of tv shows off of itunes and one day my computer got stolen and Apple told me to pound sand. All my Amazon stuff was waiting for me to be redownloaded. So much more convenient. Likewise audiobooks off of Audible.

Since Amazon is giving 20 GB of cloud drive storage with any digital album purchase, I got the Gaga as a means to that end.
