Anita Perry, "a quiet feminine force," " a nurse first, first lady second."

A profile in the NYT.

This would be more interesting if Rick Perry stood any chance of winning the Republican nomination.

I'll bet some male doctor repeated her diagnosis and got all the credit.

Thigpen? I am guessing she did not like her name when she was a kid.

Curious George, bravo. But if you were a chick I would have said nothing.

Sounds like The Blonde would like her.

She is a nurse, after all.

Good one.

Most people would be surprised at what good diagnosticians nurses are.

PS As usual, Andy R proves that the way you wear the hat is indicative of the way the brain was installed.

Perry can still win the nomination - primaries don't begin until February, but he's got a lot of work to do.

There's a difference between "quiet" and soft-spoken.

In some people human compassion is a force field around them that wins every encounter.

King Solomon wrote that, "love cannot be defeated."

But that was before our edited TV, cable news and talk radio winnows out all personalities to fit their narrative du jour.

I had no problem with Rick Perry vaccination program, other than it being easier to opt out (if you wished to do so).

But Rick Perry did not implode over that, he imploded over his debate performance.

Ha! Since Nancy Reagan wasn't a handicap to her husband's elections. Reagan proved all he had to do was show the public he loved his wife. NON-VERBAL. When he was out in the Rose Garden giving speeches ... he'd look up to see if he could catch his wife's eye ... looking down at him. And, when he saw her he glowed up a notch.

So Anita Perry is a nurse. Some women will wonder why she didn't go up the medical ladder and become a doctor. Our nurses, today, come from foreign countries.

And, they no longer wear their cute white hats.

Milton's wife can show off her underwear. In a fashion spread.

But don't depend on American women falling for this crap.

Nancy Reagan wasn't liked by the general public. It was her husband's limelight, anyway. And, for that a man stands alone.

Access piece. Mrs. Perry wisely declines to be interviewed by the NYT. Ms. Saulny of the Times writes a puff piece. Mrs. Perry reconsiders and grants an interview. Then the whole sordid story of her belief in creationism is brought to light.

Sounds like Joe McGinness has got his next project all lined up for him. I'm sure Mrs. Perry must have done some illegal pharmaceuticals in her time. Who knows? See if there's an increase in deaths on her ward. Or maybe she's sneaking off for "conferences" with the doctors on staff.

"So Anita Perry is a nurse. Some women will wonder why she didn't go up the medical ladder and become a doctor."

Oh, for the love of jumping baby Muhammad on a ham sandwich, will you just shut up, you cackhanded, neuron-addled lunatic?

I don't know what that means, but I like the sound of it.

So it begins -- Rick Perry to skate the Gardasil and Merck crony capitalism issues by putting Nurse Anita into the fray as the motivating force behind the governor's executive order.

Now, suddenly we have emails cropping up from Texas' First Lady that link her to the decision. And for those who didn't know, Anita is a fundraiser for the Texas Association Against Sexual Assault. Her donors are supposedly all of Rick's politically connected buddies.

IMO, Mrs. Perry is the one who wants Mr. Perry to run for POTUS, not Mr. Perry. Thus the vacillation.

The cladding on each of the blocks will contrast however to mark them out, with a creamy colour palette employed on the shorter block that should help it blend in with its stone neighbour at street level, and dark grey aluminium used on the larger section which will be visible rising above.
