Why the Chinese banned Winnie-the-Pooh.

They didn't want people to see this:

(That's Chinese President Xi Jinping as the Pooh to Obama's Tigger.)

The aristocracy is trying to regain control over the internet. Google and amazon and Facebook are all about helping out.

Obama's Tigger?

That's racist. Almost.

Have you looked at Trump's figure? You could fit a dozen Winnie-the-Pooh's just in Trump's ass.

Is this the best you got.

50 years ago, a common topic of humor was how animals are naked and cartoon animals are half naked. What's up with Winnie-the-Pooh coquettishly pulling up his shirt to expose more of his belly when he's also just not wearing any pants at all?

Example of humor from 50 years ago: this poster from The Realist showing Disney characters doing things that were once called obscene.

I don't know if Xi is Pooh, but Obama certainly isn't Tigger.
Trump is a lot more like Tigger.

Hey, he isn't wearing shorts. Isn't that good enough?

The rule is, if a cartoon animal is wearing any clothing they can talk. If they are not wearing clothing they cannot talk.

That's an easy rule to think of exceptions to..

Stephan Pastis has fun with this sometimes in his "Pearls Before Swine" comic strip when it is not always clear which type of animal is which.

Tigger's transgressive.

Obama cannot be Tigger...because a Tigger is a wonderful thing.

Cultural appropriation. Jinping should be depicted by a panda.

Tigger, however, is appropriate. Obama is multicultural.

Their hands aren't even in the same position as Pooh and Tigger.

Obama's great white hope always was to pass as a cat.

They changed bird seed to "nyjer" so yeah.

Does anyone know rapeseed from canola?

Or is it an example of the Mandingo effect?

Winnie the poo is a half-naked pervert.

Always love people who do not understand the context. While Pooh is a bear of little brain, Tigger had even less.

"Good morning, Pooh Bear," said Eeyore gloomily. "If it is a good morning," he said. "Which I doubt."

President Xi

Recall your people like to call Barack Obama "Bumblefuck" because they like the sound of the word and think it's apt. Go with the classics.

The book, from which the cartoon characters sprang was called Winnie the Pooh by its author, A. A. Milne - way back in 1926. So Tigger didn't even get mentioned in the title.

So the Chinese must be upset by the revelation that the Canadian black bear, named Winnie, housed at the London Zoo and visited by A. A. Milne and his son, Christopher Robin, was female. Tigger, Eeyore, Piglet, Roo, and Rabbit are at best gender-neutral while Kanga is Roo's mom.

The Chinese president has a name which is itself a pronoun. That must be confusing. Maybe tones straighten it out.

I think it's a pronoun. I may be wrong.

Obama was definitely more of an Eeyore.

Dear Clyde,

You spelled "Eyesore" wrong.

The most wonderful thing about Tiggers,
are Tiggers are wonderful things.
Their tops are made out of rubber,
their bottoms are made out of springs.
They're bouncy, trouncy, flouncy, pouncy
fun, fun, fun, fun.
The most wonderful thing about Tiggers,
is I'm the only one!

I'm surprised the China didn't switch focus and use the excuse Tigger rhymes with the N-word.

Whoops, Curious, missed yours.

My sister has a time stamped photo of Tigger in Disney's Animal Kingdom taken moments after I saw Tigger in the Main Street Parade in The Magic Kingdom. No way he bounced there that quickly, even if he went via utilidor.

I'm skeptical.

Donald Duck wears a shirt but not pants. So he talks, but is hard to understand.
