"Barney Frank looked disgusting—nipples protruding—in his blue shirt before Congress. Very very disrespectful."

That's an old Trump tweet! The image he was tweeting about — remember you can't unsee what you have seen — is here.

I was just trying to read a David Remnick piece in The New Yorker — "The Increasing Unfitness of Donald Trump/The West Wing has come to resemble the dankest realms of Twitter, in which everyone is racked with paranoia and everyone despises everyone else" — and that popped out and lodged in my brain.
Trump joined Twitter in March, 2009. His early work in the medium provided telling glimpses of his many qualities. He was observant. (“I have never seen a thin person drinking Diet Coke.”) He used facts to curious ends. (“Windmills are the greatest threat in the US to both bald and golden eagles.”) He was concerned with personal appearance. (“Barney Frank looked disgusting—nipples protruding—in his blue shirt before Congress. Very very disrespectful.”) He was fastidious. (“Something very important, and indeed society changing, may come out of the Ebola epidemic that will be a very good thing: NO SHAKING HANDS!”) He was sensitive to comic insult. (“Amazing how the haters & losers keep tweeting the name ‘F*kface Von Clownstick’ like they are so original & like no one else is doing it.”) He was post-Freudian. (“It makes me feel so good to hit ‘sleazebags’ back—much better than seeing a psychiatrist (which I never have!).”)

The Trump White House has a way to go before hitting the rock bottom of unfitness. It doesn't yet resemble the dankest realms of The New Yorker.

Not clicking the link, since who could possibly disagree with Trump on this one? Besides Barney Frank, of course. Plus, I want to eat lunch today.

He was in fact a disrespectful disgusting pig who ran a gay brothel out of his house. Curious how no one on the left was ever concerned about that and underage victims.....

Really? The left-wing corruption machine seems increasingly unstable, delusional and intolerant.

I fear the left-wing corruption machine.

Diversity at Google = No tolerance for diversity.

Seeing David Remnick's continued agita over Trump is the gift that keeps on giving. That alone has gone a long way toward making America great again.

I refuse to click on that, and never want to think about Barney Frank's nipples ever again.

Smart move not to click on the link. I did, ...now I am scarred for life.

Well, at least he didn't put the image of Barney Franks in assless chaps in our minds (oops!)

I’m not certain what Remnick means by using facts to curious ends. It certainly is true that for environmental reasons we provide extraordinary protections to bale and golden eagles, but for environmental reasons the Obama administration permits 4200 eagles to be killed per company per year. Moreover only eagle carcasses found within 200 feet of the bad are counted, if the energy of the whirling blade flings the carcass farther then the bird doesn’t count.

Kind of mean of Remnick to point us to something so embarrassing that had faded away.

Mean of me too, I guess. But I'm genuinely impressed by the quality of Trump's early tweeting. He knows how to do social media. He is a genius at that and a few other things, things most people aren't counting as things.

Trump is a genius because he can write a weird tweet? If that's all it takes the world is overrun with geniuses, which seems in conflict with the meaning of the word.

Big Mike said...

@sreve uhr, Trump is a genius at making his enemies look like dolts. You too.

Our stable genius works fast. I am waiting for the MSM to say that there must be more than one of him. Several Bionic Genius clones.

The talk on the tubes last week was about the Zuma payload , that one that spaceX lost ,or maybe not. It is supposed to be an electro pulse generator weapon that fries the Norks new world class missile's guidance. Hence DJT's boast that at least his button works.

In the discussions about electro pulse weapons, it comes out that the key scientist in that field has long been an MIT Professor named Trump who is also DJT's uncle. The mental analytic power in the Trumps seems to be so high that the rest of the pols and the MSM cannot begin to comprehend it.

The one word in the New Yorker title I disagree with is "increasing". The word "increasing" is vitally important to the idea that disaster is impending. Yet there's no evidence for "increasing."

If "increasing" isn't in the title, you have "The Unfitness of Donald Trump".

But we already knew that. Everything unfit about Donald Trump was known before he was elected. The constant drumbeat for unfitness is tedious. The only thing that is increasing is the cowbell of urgency. "I gotta have more cowbell!" says the media and the media obliges.

Barney's showing off his moobs, did he purposely leave off the manziere or had he simply rushed out of the house that day?

"Guess what. I've got a fever. And the only prescription is more cowbell."

Speaking of learning curves for new skill sets, the rule is that they take 6 months to become natural. So watching the Presidency of Machiavelli/Trump should start impressing more folks now.

How trying was it?

Perhaps someone who clicks though can tell me: Is it the nipples, or the clamps, which are visible through the shirt?

This warning should have been in bold font and capital lettering.

Yikes.

Some numbers:

Obama Twitter: 99 Million followers

Trump Twitter: 46 Million followers

Hillary Twitter: 21 Million followers

Romney Twitter: 2 Million followers

Trump gets a lotta "bang for the buck" on is twitter account. It generates a lot of headlines and heartburn for media folks and leftists (I repeat myself).

I would suggest that folks who don't like Trump's Tweets to not read them. It ain't hard.

As for Barney Frank? yuck.

That is the kind of stuff a properly tailored business suit is supposed to disguise. Talk about your “fashion victim.”

Barney Frank was a million kinds of awful. The saggy male nips just add to the horror.

JohnAnnArbor said...

If I remember correctly, Barney Frank didn't know he'd need to be on the floor of Congress that day and didn't have time to switch clothes. It wasn't intentional.

Qwinn said...

Like Hillary violating security laws, some crimes have serious enough consequences that lack of "intent" is not supposed to matter.

That picture of Frank qualifies.

Amy Klobuchar (D-MN) once said that she held the Senate record for money raised from ex boyfriends, but that Barney Frank held the House record. Barney didn't think it was very goddam funny.

Trump's moobs are easily twice the size of Frank's and approach the size of Ivanka's. They say genes are everything.
