"This is a special night for these three really great people."

Said President Trump, quoted in "Trump greets Americans freed from North Korea" (NY Post).

Where’s the media coverage? Drudge has virtually nothing.

Remember the Bergdahls?

OK, fine. A win is a win. But once is enough for such a public display. It signals sentimentality and weakness.

I just noticed on the home page that this page had “1 comments.”

1 comments? Is it really that tough to add an if/then statement to the code: if comments = 1 then comments = comment?

No, it isn’t. I program. It’s really that simple. But alas, I’ve now added a comments so you can’t check my work.

I'm happy for these three gentlemen and I'm glad we have Trump and Pompeo.

Nice job Donny Two Scoops.

Trump wins the week and the "Get Trump" Squad is, once again knocked back on their heels, sputtering, mumbling to theirselves and/or ignoring the good news.

I'm curious on how the press will spin this in negative terms. They can't say anything positive about Trump because it might lower their 91% negative coverage rating. Maybe they'll just ignore the story, hoping no one notices that something happened.

They survived the North Korean gulag, but I take it they were spared flying United?

Trump was not only awake at 3 am but at Andrews Airforce Base greeting the returning North Korean prisoners.
Anyone want to posit if Hillary! would have greeted returning Patriots at 3 am?
Silly question—if Hillary! were President they would still be in a North Korean prison.

I don't se how you can spin this in a negative way towards Trump. The news people give it a one or two minute mention before their hour interview with Avenatti.

This is quite awkward for those who have been saying that Trump is just as bad, if not worse, than Little Kim.

God Bless America.

Negative spin was the Secretary of State was not available when Trump pulled out of the Iran deal. This impacted our European allies.

Not sure why first two families were up in the middle of the night for this but I assume it was to impress Kim and Trump hopes sleepless night now will translate into fewer long nights in Singapore.

Trump knows TV better than any politician.

That's what it was about.

JAORE said...

Oh the spin is negative already. No big deal. Just what did Trump give up?

The Democrats are trying hard to wrestle the phrase "the Party of Stupid" from the Republicans.

Yes. Maybe. There is cause for optimism. Jong-un may be another Gorbachev.

Long-time Trump critic and obese donut addict Michael Moore commented: "Meh. Freedom is so overrated. At least in North Korea they could get free medical care."

Long-time liberty-phone Inga agrees.

"It's a very special night; Kim, are you here? Where's Kim? Is Kim here? Where is that guy? There he is; Kim, stand up. Let's all give Kim a big hand. And then there is Kim. Kim, where are you? I'm told Kim is here as well. Kim, are you here? There he is; Kim stand up. There's Kim, right there; let's give him a hand. And third, we got Kim -- all these Kims, it's like an LPGA event, isn't it? I'm kidding, of course. The fake news media will run with with that for the next two days, believe me. Let's hear it for all the Kims. Great guys, all great guys. I have a fantastic relationship with all the Kims. Fantastic, believe me."

You make peace with your enemies, not your friends.

And if Trump was refusing to deal with the North Koreans, citing Otto Warmbier, you would be writing about how irresponsible it was to hold up the peace process for one individual.

Talk to Chuckles and Readering..they've both willing to give it a shot.

She was always a good, solid, credible nominee.

Completely unlike many other Trump nominations. Like Trump's nomination of Dr. Ricky Bobby for the Veteran's Administration. Or Ben Carson for Department of Black People. Or Scaramucci for anything.

I think that there is general relief that Trump didn't nominate Agent Maxwell Smart for head of the CIA.

When the prisoners that had been held in isolation for years heard "President Donald Trump," they said Ho Lee Fuk. CNN has been attempting to locate Mr. Fuk and have so far drawn a blank.

"Brian Stelter republican" Chuck: "These terrific North Koreans. We're going to have such a great deal with them.

Uh oh.

I hope whoever is "responsible" for Chuck doesn't see that one as it could be considered a slam against LLR Chuck's "magnificent" obama and there could be lefty/dem/LLR "blue on blue" ramifications.

LLR Chuck "forgot" this happened on obama's watch.

LLR Chuck "forgets" lots of things that happened on "magnificent" obama's watch.

Hmmmmm, just like every leftist posting on these boards.

I wonder if reasonable conclusions might be drawn?.....

LOL

Drago said...

It's a good thing Otto Wambier wasn't a black guy. Can you imagine how LLR and Noted Racist Commenter Chuck might have celebrated?

Chuck is still posting ?

Come on, chuck, time for that walk.

I was in the Air Force nearing the end of my active duty, four-year enlistment when the US POW's were released from North Vietnam. Watching this video brought back those memories and some of that emotion ( watched the POW return from Grafenwhoer AAF, Germmay). That surprised me - hadn't thought about that time in years. Thank God for their safe return.
